They say its NERF or NOTHING... so we say ZERO WORX better!
ZEROWORX is a vision for the future of the 3d printing toys.
There is so much beauty in 3D printing with the accessible & limitless creative potential it offers.
So why should 3d printed dart blasters be any different?
THREE YEARS IN THE MAKING
After years of printing, development and beta testing, the Hammerhead Modular Blaster Platform has achieved a level of modularity never seen before in this niche.
The 2.1 update achieves everything I envisioned and more.
THE MODULARITY
By effectively compartmentalizing the components and their functions, the core spring-powered plunger module is fully independent from the rest of the priming and receiver configurations. This allows an unprecedented flexibility in configurations. So far, there are 234 unique components!
PS: You can have two triggers at the same time!
THE PERFORMANCE
The platform can launch half-length darts up to 200 feet per second or 150 mph out the barrel.
All friction is reduced to a minimum thanks to a priming slide that runs can run on anywhere from 2-13 axis of stabilization.
The catch mechanism is a novel design. With metal self-lubricating washers and stainless steel flanged nuts, the system only runs smoother with each trigger pull. When primed, the stabilizing rod of the piston will poke out the front, earning its title as the "Pinocchio Catch System".
Just remember, when its "lying" its LOADED
THE HARDWARE
The design relies on premium McMaster-Carr components and avoids all complex custom machined parts.
This means that the blaster is very easy to assemble! Not to mention all of the 3d printed files comes pre-oriented and require ZERO support.
If that wasn't cool enough for you, I also want to introduce a never before seen catch friction-dampening mechanism that exclusively works with the Pinocchio system, the Magnetic-Pump. This attachment drastically reduces trigger pull weight down to almost zero, by utilizing a 60lb strength magnet to alleviate normal forces on the catch mechanism.
